Deakin & Francis 230 Year Anniversary Capsule Collection Cufflinks
It’s not every day that a British heritage jewellery brand turns 230 years old. To celebrate this rather extraordinary achievement, Deakin & Francis has released a capsule collection of rather elegant new men’s cufflinks, inspired by antique coins, the designs of which reflect the company's long history and unmistakable quirky style. Be it the Deakin & Francis family crest (which was granted to an ancestor of the current owners for his maritime antics as a 16th century naval officer), or an illustration of the anchor symbol of the Birmingham Assay office, each pair of sterling silver, yellow-gold plated links tells its own charming tale. What is more, only 230 pieces have been produced, making this capsule even more special. £205.00, www.deakinandfrancis.co.uk.

Caruso Unstructured ‘Gobigold’ Camelhair Coat
As the seasons turn, so too does one’s wardrobe requirements. This sophisticated unstructured topcoat from Caruso is perfect for cool autumn days when something warming, yet less heavy than a formal overcoat is required. Unlined, with a soft sleevehead and beautifully finished raised seams, the coat is cut in Loro Piana’s ‘gobigold’ quality, a ground-breaking new lightweight worsted camelhair, that feels more like a jacketing than a coating cloth and is exclusive to Caruso. Consequently, it’s luxuriously soft, light and drapey, as comfortable over a three-piece suit as it is over a sweater and flannels on the weekend. £1460.00, www.mrporter.com.

Drake’s for The Rake Vintage Silk Grenadine Necktie
When it came to creating our second collection of archival silk neckties with Drake’s, there was one cloth we stumbled upon that we couldn’t possibly help but use. This handrolled vintage silk grenadine was woven on the shores of Lake Como, on one of only two eighteenth century handlooms that remain fully functional today. With its rich olive and ochre autumnal colour palette, the design put the inimitable style of one man in mind first and foremost; the late, great Duke of Windsor, who’s ability to carry-off bold checked ties and tailoring with aplomb was nothing less than super-human. We like to think that were he perusing shop.TheRake.com today, this would be the piece that would catch his eye first and foremost. This then, is our ode to him. £125.00, www.shop.rake.webdezign.uk.

Berluti Navy Cashmere & Nubuck Sportscoat
As you might imagine of Parisian couture house Berluti, this inky blue cashmere sportscoat feels almost criminally sumptuous. Cut with an attention to detail that borders on obsession in winter-weight pure cashmere twill, with hints of RAF blue and indigo, this is just the jacket with which to combat the immanent fall in temperature. The juxtaposition of a modern, softly structured cut and design-led details (the navy nubuck trim for example) with the coat’s sartorial pleated-patch pockets, two front darts and a raised centre back seam is particularly interesting, and creates a sportscoat that feels both razor-sharp and discreet. $4,000.00, www.berluti.com.

Bodiley’s ‘Wilton’ Vintage Oak Two-Tone Balmoral-Oxfords
Bodiley’s is something of a best-kept secret in sartorial circles. A long-standing British heritage shoe-brand that in addition to curating a collection of shoes from other well-known British makers, also produces an intelligently formed and immaculately designed capsule collection of benchmade shoes, in the highest tradition of Northamptonshire shoemaking. Indeed, the company’s ‘London Collection’ is designed by none other than the venerable John Garner, former head lastmaker at Edward Green, and each pair of shoes bears the unmistakable hallmarks of his work; with smooth waists, rich lines and angular toe-boxes in evidence. This striking pair of two-tone brown Balmoral-Oxfords is a case in point, well worth experimenting with. £345.00, www.bodileys.com.
