1957 BMW 507 Roadster Series I
The 1950s was a good time for convertible sports cars. Three of the all-time greats were products of this era; Porsche’s 356, Mercedes-Benz’s 300SL Roadster and this, the BMW 507. Whilst the Porsche and Mercedes were produced and sold extensively - 76,000 and 3,258 were built respectively - only 252 BMW 507s came out of the factory. It took the Stuttgart firm to the brink of bankruptcy due to the fact that they lost money on each car they made. Even famous owners such as Elvis Presley (he owned two) were not enough to salvage the operation. What the 507 did do though was rekindle the marque’s lost cool, sporting image, and let's not forget that it was the most beautiful looking machine BMW ever made. This one - finished in striking sea green - is coming up for auction on August 20th with an estimated price tag of $2,400,000 - $2,700,000. You have three weeks to save up. Mizensir L'ENVERS DU PARADIS
In a world of heavily marketed, celebrity-endorsed fragrances it’s refreshing to know that companies like Mizensir exist. Based in Geneva, the brand produce stunningly complex fragrances housed within simple crystal glass bottles that exude a timeless quality and they don’t shout about their business. Still, they are stocked in such establishments as Colette in Paris, so they’re doing something right. L’Envers du Paradis is an intoxicating blend of amber, musky clearwood, pink pepper and spicy cardamom, all of which combines to create something that you’ll want to use day in, day out. £189.00, www.mizensir.com.

John Lobb Levah Trainer in Alligator Skin
The Levah is John Lobb’s signature trainer style as designed by artistic director Paula Gerbase. It’s about all you could want from a luxury sneaker; unfussy, minimal in design, and built to last. This particular shoe is rather special though as instead of the usual calf leather or suede it’s crafted from sumptuous alligator. Understandably this increases the price tag ever so slightly to a staggering £3,100, so whilst you may feel up to the challenge of breaking in your new shoes you might want to reserve them solely for special occasions. Like when you happen to find yourself in a vacuum, perhaps. £3,100.00, available in store only. John Lobb, 88 Jermyn St, London SW1Y 6JD.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona "Ceramic"
For Rolex fans, news of a new Daytona launch is akin to a new Harry Potter novel being released or opening night of the latest Star Wars film. Shit gets crazy. It was all about the Cerachrom bezel with the new Daytona 116500LN at Baselworld earlier this year, and of course the contrasting sub-dials. It’s incredible that Rolex can cause such hysteria with these small changes and it’s a testament to their brand power that they can. It’s no secret that there’s a huge waiting list for this watch, but certain dealers including Watch Club have managed to nab a few. This one complete with black dial is on sale in their Royal Arcade boutique and whilst it’s up for almost twice its retail price it represents one of the only real opportunities you have of getting one. £14,950.00, www.watchclub.com.

Ami Zipped Twin Pocket Bomber Jacket
Whilst their entire AW16 collection is exemplary, AMI’s outerwear offering is particularly good. This 1970s inspired blouson is ideal for transitional months thanks to its sturdy denim fabric and cropped, slim cut, which means it can be worn as an outer layer or underneath a heavier overcoat. It borrows elements of the trucker jacket in its panelled back, adjustable waist and buttoned cuffs yet it features a zip fly front and oversized flap pockets, the likes of which you’d find on an A2 bomber jacket. It’s an interesting piece and one that will take you through Autumn and beyond. £295.00, www.amiparis.com.
