Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio 42mm
Panerai are famous for their rugged diving watches so it’s only appropriate that they’d launch an all-blue collection, inspired by the great oceans that will forever be associated with the Italian brand. Part of a series of watches that form the Blue Collection, this special edition Luminor is instantly recognisable with its polished cushion shape stainless steel case and familiar luminescent hour markers and numerals. Marking it out though is the striking blue dial with satiné soleil finish and matching blue leather strap. The in-house P.9001 automatic calibre movement will keep it powered to 100 metres underwater, but you’ll really want to appreciate this piece on dry land, such is its azure beauty and classic elegance. Price on request in limited boutiques, www.panerai.com.

Chester Barrie Double Breasted Travel Blazer
As part of our SS/16 collection, The Rake collaborated with Savile Row’s Chester Barrie to produce this exquisite lightweight travel blazer. It’s cut in a sumptuous high-twist wool, silk and linen blend, that travels well from season to season and resists creasing formidably, it feels modern and sophisticated. What’s more, the blazer conforms to the traditionally heroic British silhouette, with a clean roped shoulder, expressive chest and hourglass waist – lending the wearer an unashamedly masculine silhouette, without the cumbersome weightiness associated with structured British formalwear. In short, due to its inherently wearability, impressive versatility and all-out heroic rakishness, it’s the only blazer you’re going to need this summer. £850.00, rake.webdezign.uk/shop.

Turnbull & Asser Big Ben Silk Pocket Square
Part of their AW16 ‘Artist and Architect’ collection, this Turnbull & Asser pocket square is suitably eccentric. With an abstract Big Ben design, it acts as a silky tribute to London but more importantly its subtle blue tones ensure it will pair well with a wide array of jackets in your wardrobe. £70.00, www.turnbullandasser.co.uk.

Caruso Safari Jacket
Here the lauded Italian brand has applied their tailoring know-how to a garment that is tricky to define. Part safari shirt/jacket/gown, it boasts a soft cuban collar, four pleated patch pockets and a belt at the waist, gifting the wearer a distinctly masculine silhouette when tied up. Perhaps more interesting for fabric nuts though is the cloth Caruso has chosen to embelish it with. Developed with Loro Piana, it’s made from Gobigold, spun from the wool of camels that occupy the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and noted for its rich golden hue and incredibly soft handle. Price on request in store, www.carusomenswear.com.

Edward Green Dover Derby Shoes
Edward Green are well-renowned as one of the finest Northampton shoemakers, not least because of their outstanding build quality. They also produce one of the most varied collection of shoe styles, ranging from chunky motorcycle-appropriate boots to suave boardroom-ready Oxfords. Falling somewhere in between are these Norwegian aproned Derbys, which are constructed on a sleek, square-toed last - 606 last to be precise - and feature a sturdy double leather sole down below. £950.00, www.edwardgreen.com.

1963 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale
Alfa Romeo have never struggled to produce attractive sports cars. Throughout the decades their automobiles may not have performed with the best, or even had the reliability needed to perform at all, yet they’ve always been pretty. The Giulia SS is certainly up there with the best looking Alfas of all time, with its futuristic styling dreamt up by the inimitable Bertone design house, and it was noted as a goer too, with its 1570cc twin-cam engine producing 112bhp and relatively light weight. This one is up for auction at the Salon Privé Sale on September 1st with an estimate of between £75,000 - £90,000. Auction at www.silverstoneauctions,com.
