As autumn steadily approaches, the calling for a reliable, hard-wearing pair of leather boots is strong. Crockett & Jones' Radnor model is among the finest out there and for autumn/winter 2016 the English heritage brand has reimagined it in a beautiful Russian grain leather. A reproduction of Russian leather produced extensively throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, which was famed for its durability, Crockett & Jones’ Russian leather is made with exactly the same tanning process as the original, promising to only increase the indestructibility of the rubber-soled Radnor boot. £650.00, www.crockettandjones.com.

Aquascutum Sebastian Overcoat
Whilst Aquascutum are famed for their exemplary rainwear, the British firm produce a versatile selection of highly wearable outerwear garments that span everything from bomber jackets to double-breasted overcoats. The latter is crafted from a heavy wool blend made from a multitude of blue colour threads, ensuring it will be the focal point of a tone-on-tone blue ensemble. The laid back patch pockets and lack of structure in the chest and shoulders belie the formality of the double-breasted silhouette, making it a jacket that you can dress up as easily as you can dress down.

Zenith El Primero Range Rover Special Edition
One of the most iconic chronographs of all time, Zenith’s El Primero was unveiled back in 1969, the same year as Land Rover introduced the prototype of its first luxury off-road vehicle, the Range Rover. To celebrate a new long-term partnership the two brands have combined to create the Zenith El Primero Range Rover Special Edition, a refreshingly sober timepiece. With a tonal grey colour scheme, its case is made from ceramicised aluminium and its dial is a brushed grey that absorbs the light beautifully. Powering the watch is of course the fabled El Primero 400 B movement, which will beat as reliably as the Range Rover it takes inspiration from.

Brunello Cucinelli Shirt Cardigan
Some of Brunello Cucinelli’s most innovative clothing has been created when the firm has taken a classic garment and reinterpreted it with a fabric it’s not usually associated with. Their denim evening shirt complete with double cuffs and hidden placket was a good example. The concept has been reversed with this western style shirt - a shirt normally associated with denim - which has been reimagined in cashmere, what else? An ideal layering piece, wear it buttoned under an overcoat or leave it open over a white T-shirt and jeans. Price on request, www.brunellocucinelli.com.

The lining is a smart Royal Stewart tartan too, adding a subtle touch of British eccentricity.
